Resident Spotlight:
​Debbie Collier

           Debbie Collier greets everyone with a smile.  A resident of this community for over 25 years, she has stories and memories that all can enjoy. 
 
A native of the remote Eastern Kentucky town of Robinson Creek, Debbie has an early life that taught many tough lessons. One of eight siblings, she grew up without a Dad and worked hard to find her own way forward. She has lived in the Atlanta area for many years, where her late husband, Art Collier, worked many years with Channel 2 as a sportscaster.  She continues to enjoy her family and is delighted to go out with them to see all the new places that are springing up in the neighborhood.
 
Her upper floor apartment is a place of peace with touches that link the visitor with her life’s story.  One of my favorites is a little model latrine that sits on her shelf.  Debbie is very dedicated to a few hobbies that include reading mystery novels, following the Braves and cheering for the Kentucky Wildcats basketball squad.
