"My
mom moved to Decatur Christian Towers in June of ’97 from
her life-long home in Ohio. Thanks to the friendliness, compassion
and helpfulness of the staff, and the many residents who became
friends, DCT is a very good home."
With
gratitude,
Patricia Bradford, daughter of resident
"One
of our residents, a dear lady named Carolyn "Splink" George
called me to tell me what a wonderful community we have here. She
said that Christian Towers is more than just a name as people live
that name out every day here. She said since there are so many people
here who are jewels, it should be called "Diamond Towers"!
Splink had fallen
and one of her neighbors told her that she should keep her phone
with her at all times. She had not had her phone with her when she
fell. This same neighbor went home and crocheted her a case for
her cordless phone to put on her walker!
Splink
told me that another neighbor gave her a sign to remember that any
time she needed her, to just knock on the wall and she would come
running. The night Splink fell, she rapped on the wall and her neighbor
came running and got help. Isn’t that a whole lot of caring
going on? Wow! Diamond Towers, it is!!"

I have
been associated with Christian Towers for approximately 27 years.
During that time my wife and I served as floor sponsors for many
years. I have served on the Board of Directors and as a volunteer
handyman for about twelve years.
My
association with Christian Towers has always been a very pleasant
experience. The dedicated staff has always shown a caring attitude
toward the residents, many of whom I have had the pleasure to get
to know on a personal basis down through the years.
I have
come to feel a part of a very large family, sharing both laughter
and hugs with many of you as I’ve gone about lending a helping
hand. I have also been saddened when a resident I’ve come
to love and care for has been called away to their new heavenly
home.
My
only wish for the residents here is that they too can come to feel
they have found a home with caring "family" and friends.
